Monday:  6:30 – 8:00 pm – Singing in Sacred Circle

Presented by Cynthia Huelsmann. There are many chants that relate to the Divine Feminine, the Goddess in her many forms, and to her place in the web of life. Singing in community brings a level of connection and joy that is hard to explain. The repetitive singing of simple chants allows an opening and connection to spirit that we often miss in our busy modern lives. Location: Open Floor.

Presenter Info: I have been chanting for over 30 years. I have attended many workshops and conferences including singing with Kay Gardner at Michfest for many years and with Woman with Wings both in Michigan and Bangor, Maine since Kay’s passing in 2002. I have also attended workshops and sang with Starhawk, Ruth Barrett, Judy Piazza, Robert Gass, and Margot Adler. I have led several singing Circles at the Midwest Wimmins Music Fest, the Spinsterhaven spring gathering, and last year’s Goddess Festival. Last year’s workshop led to an ongoing singing circle in Fayetteville, and the group will be part of this circle.

Tuesday:  6:30 pm – Night Vespers Yoga

Yoga demonstration and practice. Relax from the pace of the day, join in meditation, celebrate the goddess within.

Wednesday:  5:00 pm – Walk the Labyrinth

The labyrinth is an ancient symbol that has been used as a healing walk since the goddess times. This sacred tool allows travelers to explore their own personal journey of enlightenment, growth, and peace.

Thursday:  6:30 pm – Sacred Healing Chant

Sound healing, group chanting and toning, using the voice as a primary pathway to the heart. Chants from multiple traditions will be utilized. No experience necessary. Session lead by Rebekah Clark.

Friday:  7:00 pm – Festival CD Release Party

The 2010 Goddess Festival compilation CD will be released with performances by the artists who are included on the disc. The winner of the 2010 Theme song will be announced that evening.  A big night for the Festival!
