6:30 pm – African Drumming Class
Participants will learn the basics of African drumming. They will be able to play 3-4 part rhythms by the end of the class. Lead by Sheila Richards. Workshop Fee: $10
March 30, 2010 – Tuesday
6:00 pm – Full Moon Candlelight Walk
Join us as we flood the downtown square with candlelight and meditation, from each corner, in every direction. Please bring a candle with which you feel comfortable moving (maybe a pillar or one in a jar) and clothes for outdoor time. We will share in meditations of various styles and from various cultures.
There will be a need for quiet at certain times – children are absolutely welcome and their adults are asked to please be conscientious if the need to step away from the group arises. Lead by Renee Janski, music and choir director Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
March 31, 2010 – Wednesday
10:00 am – Remove Art from Gallery
Artist are to collect their pieces between 10am and 7pm from the venue Gallery. Rental items to be returned.
6:30 pm – Festival Closing Ritual
Join the circle as we share our gratitude for another stage of this rebirthing journey. Drum, Dance, Sing and Share special moments and reflections of the festival. Remember as we say goodbye to the Festival for this year that the Divine Feminine is part of our everyday journey.
Ritual Planner: Cynthia Huelsmann is a student of nature, practicing ritual in a Sacred Grove of Cedars in the woods of Arkansas. She has studied and created ritual with Z. Budapest, Starhawk and Ruth Barrett over the past 25 years. She believes the sacred is all around us and strives to live in the magic of that knowing.
