6:30 – 8:00 pm – Singing In Sacred Circle
There are many chants that relate to the Divine Feminine, the Goddess in her many forms, and to her place in the web of life. Singing in community brings a level of connection and joy that is hard to explain. The repetitive singing of simple chants allows an opening and connection to spirit that we often miss in our busy modern lives. Everyone welcome – listen, join, enjoy. Blessed be.
Lead by Cynthia Huelsmann: “I have been chanting for over 30 years. I have attended many workshops and conferences, including singing with Kay Gardner at Michfest for many years, and with Woman with Wings – both in Michigan and Bangor Maine since Kay’s passing in 2002. I have attended workshops and sang with Starhawk, Ruth Barrett, Judy Piazza, Robert Gass, and Margot Adler. I have led several Singing Circles at the Midwest Wimmins Music Fest, the Spinsterhaven spring gathering, and last year’s Goddess Festival. Last year’s workshop led to an ongoing singing circle in Fayetteville. That group will be part of this singing circle.” Location: Open Floor.

6:00 – 8:00 pm – Sages In Our Time Croning Ritual – Special Event – Gallery & Venue Closed
This is a group celebration ritual to name and honor the sage women of our community who are ready to embrace the third trimester of their life’s journey.
On our journey from birth to death, we experience the various stages of life. Sadly, in our youth-oriented culture, we have forgotten and negated the art of honoring and celebrating our wise women who carried the torches and paved the way for the rest of us. Let us come together in circle to name and uplift these sage wise ones among us in celebration and blessing.
The Reception feast will start about 7:30pm, immediately following the ritual. Cost: $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for kids 13 and under.

7:00 – 9:00 pm – She Weaves Us: A Musical Meeting of Geoff Oelsner, Harmonia, & You
Listen as we weave two sets of beautiful music together: Geoff performing original songs and poems sometimes joined by Harmonia and Harmonia performing songs at times accompanied by Geoff. A unique arrangement, a new step on their musical journey.
There’ll be singalongs in each of the two braided sets of this two hour concert. (Intermission with concession sales. Donations accepted to cover Festival expenses.) Come weave music and words with us!
Geoff Oelsner is a poet, singer/songwriter, and psychotherapist. www.geoffoelsner.com/home.html. His life-partner Leslie Berman Oelsner is founder and director of Harmonia, a 15 woman vocal ensemble who offer songs of celebration and healing.

7:00 pm – Comedy Night at The Goddess Festival
Jules Taylor leads us through an evening of riotous fun, starting with Comedy Open Mic – everyone says you are funny, you love telling (re-telling) jokes, your impersonations are dead on – sign up at the door and share your comedic talents with a ready audience.
Then get ready to laugh hysterically with PHUNBAGS! Some of the phunniest people in NWA, PHUNBAGS performs fast paced, short form comedy improv based on suggestions from the audience. No one ever knows what will happen next but, you can be sure that with Mike Thomas, Jason Suel, Jules Taylor, Mark Landon Smith, Cassie Self, Kevin Kinder and… no telling who else may show up onstage (maybe even YOU! ), hilarity ensues! phunbags.org
Top off the evening with the happiest music on earth: Snake Eyes & the Bug Band specialize in their own brand of sound which we call “Bug Music.” The best way to describe it might be Cajun/Zydeco music filtered through southeastern Arkansas redneck sensibilities. Bug music is perfect for couple dancing, and it’s not unusual for band members to take individual breaks, even mid-song, to grab a partner from the crowd to swing, twirl, and spin for their own (and the crowd’s) entertainment.
Jamey Hall – lead vocalist, songwriter, accordionist, and dance instructor
Mike Rickard- lead guitar, vocals
Ray Palmer – fiddle
Robin Rues- string bass, vocals
Mark McGee – rubboard, triangle, vocals
Sid Simons – drums
