Monday:  6:30 – 8:00 pm – Singing in Sacred Circle

Presented by Cynthia Huelsmann. There are many chants that relate to the Divine Feminine, the Goddess in her many forms, and to her place in the web of life. Singing in community brings a level of connection and joy that is hard to explain. The repetitive singing of simple chants allows an opening and connection to spirit that we often miss in our busy modern lives. Location: Open Floor.

Presenter Info: I have been chanting for over 30 years. I have attended many workshops and conferences including singing with Kay Gardner at Michfest for many years and with Woman with Wings both in Michigan and Bangor, Maine since Kay’s passing in 2002. I have also attended workshops and sang with Starhawk, Ruth Barrett, Judy Piazza, Robert Gass, and Margot Adler. I have led several singing Circles at the Midwest Wimmins Music Fest, the Spinsterhaven spring gathering, and last year’s Goddess Festival. Last year’s workshop led to an ongoing singing circle in Fayetteville, and the group will be part of this circle.

9:00 am – 11:00 – Her-Story: Revealing your story in a circle of womyn

Presented by Esyule Gamache/Spinsterhaven. Using one topic, we will go around the circle and tell a part of our lives, offered as a window into an important part of our lives. Womyn often don’t regard their lives as ‘important’ or valid, but when we speak of our stories, it acts to inspire and yields hidden wisdom to others. This is an ancient way of extending ourselves to our “tribe.” Women only Please.

Participant Notes: Preregister by emailing esyule@yahoo.com. Location: Gallery Room. Presenter Info: Esyule has been offering workshops on aspects of the feminine since 1989. Through developing lodges for various stages of womanhood, especially the crone lodge, Esyule has discovered the immense importance of telling stories in a group.

9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Money and the Goddess

Presented by Lynda Campbell. I invite ordinary women, aka Goddesses, to begin their own personal “Money Journal,” a space in which to explore their relationship with money. In the past year I have been keeping such a journal and, especially through collage, have begun to demystify the subject for myself. I am happy to share this journal with participants. Women only, please.

Participant Notes: Preregister by emailing lynca1732@yahoo.com. Fees: $10 due at workshop. Location: Gallery Room.Supplies To Bring: A journal, any art supplies and any collage materials you wish. I will provide some scissors, glue sticks and other supplies for collage.

Presenter Info: I am a lifelong journaler and I rely on my journals for guidance, insight and play. I have led small art journal workshops and love to interact with participants as they make discoveries while creating their journals. At last year’s Goddess Festival I led “The Goddess Letters” workshop. At the time I had the idea of beginning the current money journal. When I began it I was experiencing the familiar fear of not having enough money. I was also dismayed at the worldwide financial crisis. In making the journal, my perspective is shifting. I have a deeper than ever sense of the interconnectedness of people throughout the world. I believe that it is up to us women to change the economic direction. The greatest benefit to me personally is that my relationship with money is evolving – with less anxiety, greater trust and more gratitude for my own abundance.
