The Goddess Festival Fayetteville, Arkansas
Our mission is to restore balance in the world, by encouraging exploration of the feminine divine
through art, music, words, dance and shared knowledge.

Our vendors are a very important part of every Goddess Festival.  This year we have the pleasure of working with:

  • Cedar Kindy of Willow Moon Designs – incredible artist and tie-dyer extraordinaire!
  • Batya Weinbaum of Transformation Arts – goddess jewelry, art and fabric arts.
  • Mary Harris Cutting of Hannah Moon, Inc. – beautiful (and in our opinion, collectible) note cards.
  • Amber Rhodes of Incense & Peppermints – representing a great Fayetteville establishment that carries almost everything pagan.
  • Esyule Gamache of Twin Star Designs – hand dyed shirts, scarves, socks, faerie spirit dolls and more.
  • Red Star of Red Star Studios – beautiful art and pottery.
  • Nancy McShane – handmade goddess necklaces and earrings.
  • Travis Whisenhunt of Firehawk Beads and Genn Waite of Arkansas Crystal Works – custom gemstone jewelry, crystal wands, Henna and more.

Come support some fabulous artisans at The Goddess Festival, March 10-27, 637 East Joyce Blvd.  See our Calendar for events and times.  Big thanks to Penny for her hard work as usual.

Join us for our Volunteer Orientation and Training! You don’t have to be a signed-up volunteer to come – keep reading to see what you can do, and pass this along to anyone you think might be interested. The Goddess Festival lives and breathes on the strength of our volunteers.

Wednesday night, March 9th
6pm-8pm

Gather at the Goddess Festival venue
Spring Creek Centre, 637 East Joyce Avenue, Fayetteville
(in front of Home Depot and right beside CiCi’s Pizza)

Meal Provided:
We will be serving take-out pizza from CiCi’s, and providing salad, drinks and dessert for everyone.

Join us and receive your Goddess Festival 2011 Volunteer Appreciation gift!

The Goddess Festival is produced entirely through the efforts of our volunteers. The Producers Circle is blessed to have dedicated people – - with a variety of professional skills – - working to bring this event to life each year. We invite you to be a part of this magical process.

We need the contribution of your time, talent, resources, energy, and ideas to ensure the future of this amazing annual gathering. Together we can continue to offer our community a space, a forum, an opportunity to celebrate the Divine Feminine in all creation – - and dare to hope for spiritual wholeness in the world.

We need help in the following areas:

1. Front Desk Sales and Information—These folk will be trained to run the cash register; take art sales; sell t-shirts and other festival products, etc. They will handle door entry fees for paid events. These volunteers will handle general festival questions. The info desk is the go-to place for just about all things festival. First aid box will be kept here as well as general office materials.

2. Ambassadors— These are docent type welcoming and information persons that will be floating around the venue to ‘meet and greet’ and answer questions. Outgoing, gracious, welcoming, they are the connective tissue that personally invites involvement and exploration of the festival for each person that comes through the door.

3. Facility Assistants— These volunteers help with the set-up and break-down of chairs and tables; special event programs; setting up audio visual equipment; hauling equipment; keeping track of supplies and equipment; custodial tasks; and the break-down of the festival at the end.

4. Hospitality and Receptions — These volunteers will help set up and maintain concession sales; help with scheduled receptions; collect food donations; do related shopping; and keep Hospitality Coffee Center cabinet running, stocked, and clean.

5. Work Shop Assistants—These are weekend and weeknight helpers trained to meet and greet workshop participants; introduce the workshop presenter; collect workshop fees if needed; record headcount of workshop participants; assist in securing presenter’s needs and/or requests.

6. Videographer and Photographer — We need someone to be at all scheduled performance events to take video, and someone to take candid and posed pictures throughout the festival.

7. Art Show Hanging and Maintenance — This volunteer team is fully staffed and trained. No further help is needed at this time. Let us know if you have interest here and we will contact you for future involvement.

We are working madly on plots and plans for the CD Release Party (which, if you didn’t already know, is March 12th at 7pm, $5 entry and one night only discount on CDs).  I can’t spill the beans on everything yet because there’s some questioning and finalizing to do but I will tell you who’s playing and show you the cover for this year’s CD.  SO…

On tap to take the stage: Big Bad Gina, Ginger Doss, Candy Lee, Niki O’Brien, Christy Lindsay, Amanda Lima, Kris Wilson, Liz Lottmann, Rob Pressman and Judi Neal.

Show is $5 to get in and for one night only you get $5 off the 2011 CD –  you can get as many as you want for that price.  You’ll be supporting The Goddess Festival and the independent musicians who provided their music to the mission.  And we promise you’ll have a great time.  So bring all your friends.  And family.  And neighbors, coworkers and random pals.

Here’s the cover, featuring the awesome work of our 2011 theme artist, Jordan Lynn Gribble:

If you’ve seen the 2011 Goddess Festival posters around town, then you’ve seen the painting that is the basis for our theme this year.  It was created by Jordan Lynn Gribble who is quite the accomplished artist.  You can see more artwork by Jordan at http://theluuvre.webs.com/

You’ll be seeing more of our theme soon, as part of the CD packaging, posters and on the website.

Do you have a few minutes on your hands and a printer?  Then do The Goddess Festival a big favor and post these flyers everywhere you can (make sure you have permission from the establishment).  We have two versions right now.  The Music Flyer is perfect for places musicians might frequent, while the Main Flyer is good for just about anywhere.

Can’t post flyers but still want to help?  If you know anyone who wants to submit to The Goddess Festival, send them by the website.
